August 2022

August 3, 2022

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The 2022-23 is quickly approaching and I couldn’t be more excited to begin another school year at

Polo R-VII! Everyone has been working over the summer to get our building ready for the upcoming school year. New concrete has been poured in several locations around the school, painting in the bathrooms has been completed, rooms and floors are looking shiny, a sensory path has been added to the K-4 hallway, and many other small things have been completed. Thank you to our superintendent and our janitorial staff for all of the projects that have been completed in order to keep our school looking top notch!

Our elementary theme this year will center around the Circus–COME ONE, COME ALL TO THE GREATEST SCHOOL YEAR OF ALL!!

Online Registration

If you have checked your email or visited our school website and/or school Facebook page, you know that we are embarking on a new way of completing student registration. A letter with the following information was shared with families on August 2nd:

All families should take the time to update contact information for each student, answer required annual questions, and sign off on annual agreements and acknowledgements.

Please note: In order to complete some of the agreements and acknowledgements, it requires those links to be clicked on and the document will open for you to read and review. It will not allow you to move forward in the registration process without clicking on the links.

To access our Back-to-School Registration for your family, please use the following link:

  • Link: https://po.sisk12.net/PO360x3/login

  • Your login information will be the email address which you received this email and the Parent Portal password you selected. If you need to reset your Parent Portal password, there is a link at the bottom of the login page.

After logging in, there will be a yellow banner at the top of the page for Online Registration. Click this link and it will take you to the online registration. There are family forms which will be completed just once per family and then individual student forms which will need to be completed for each student enrolled.

Should you have any questions or trouble accessing the Back-to-School Registration, or if you need to change any information that the system does not allow you to change, please contact the school and we will help to get the issue resolved.

If you are wishing to enroll a new student to the district, please come in to the school and visit the elementary office or give us a call at 660-354-2200.

Preschool Registration

Preschool registration is open, as well. However, in order to register your child for preschool you will need to come to the elementary office to pick up a packet of information to complete. In order to be in the 3 year old class, your child must be 3 before August 1. In order for your child to be in the 4 year old class, your child must be 4 before August 1. All preschoolers must be potty trained in order to attend school. If you have any questions regarding preschool, please contact the elementary office at 660-354-2200.

Our 3 year old preschool class is almost to full capacity. If you have already completed paperwork but not paid the $100 registration fee, that should be taken care of as soon as possible, as that will hold their spot in the class.

All preschoolers that attend are required to pay the $100 registration fee prior to the start of the year. This money is used to purchase milk for students on a daily basis, as well as provide any other consumable materials the preschool students may use to supplement their program.

Textcaster

If you have not signed up for TextCaster, which is where the school sends out text messages about upcoming events or other pertinent information, please do so soon. We do not want you to miss out on anything going on at the school. You may find the link to sign up for TextCaster on our school website at the bottom of the page under the Information tab.
